Welcome! I am a PhD Student at Northwestern University, in Political Science. As a political scientist, my research interests are the areas of urban politics, political economy, American political development and political behavior, as well as race and class. In specific, I am interested in research questions that seek to understand how capitalism, markets and inequality shape urban politics, as well as shape the way people think, feel, and act politically. As a scholar, I also strive to levy qualitative, and quantitative methods in an effort to answer my research questions.
My current research looks at the Mayoral regime of David N. Dinkins in 1990's New York City, and how economic insecurity, or worry, effects racial resentment among whites in the United States.
Before arriving at Northwestern University, I was a staff member at the New York State Youth Justice Institute, and received a bachelor's degree in political science from The City College of New York, and my master's degree in political science from University at Albany.
Outside of my social science endeavors, I enjoy American football and fútbol, motorsports, video games and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
