After graduating high school, Gonzalez worked in Simplot, road construction, and bodegas. Doing this type of work helped him realize those who are being under served. Gonzalez graduated from a local community college where he received his A.A. After graduation, Gonzalez transferred to a nearing University where he is working towards obtaining his degree in Multidisciplinary Studies. While attending community college, Gonzalez was enrolled in the College Assistant Migrant Program where he attended the United States Hispanic Leadership Institution Conference in Chicago, IL which was broadcasted live. In his sophomore year, he joined the Associated Student Government where he built communication skills, sat in on academic council meetings, and had his voice heard. Through ASG, Gonzalez attended the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities in Orlando, FL. Now, as a recruiter, Gonzalez uses those skills he gained, along with his biliteracy in Spanish, to accommodate non-traditional students. In his first professional job, he has built professional relationships adding to his network.
