A Google Slides presentation designed to be presented live to administration and faculty members, addressing the challenges and possible solutions to the following fictional scenario. This is a short, but comprehensive presentation that outlines the potential learning benefits of a flipped classroom based on the challenges faced by the Homework Gap. It includes teacher professional development and a timeline for rolling out the initiative.
In this scenario, the principal returned from a leadership conference and is excited about implementing flipped classroom strategies throughout the school. She has also received grant money to purchase iPads for all students (K-12). I was assigned to provide help and structure a strategic plan that would allow the teachers to use flipped classroom strategies successfully. The majority of the students come from lower socio-economic households and have no Internet access at home. Many of the parents lack basic digital literacy skills and would be challenged to provide technical support to their children. Most of the teachers in the school have never used iPads before and do not know how to create an audio recording and/or videos.
