Mr. Hernandez

Class Overview

Hello All! My name is Freddy Hernandez and I'm excited for my first year of teaching at Meadows Valley. I currently teach K-12 Physical Education and Secondary Health/Weight Training. I'm thrilled with the opportunity to finally be in a field of work that both inspires me each day and also bring me great gratitude! My goal both inside and outside of the classroom is to provide guidance for my students in order to live healthier lives and promote life long physical and mental activity. My classroom environment is best illustrated as more of a community like atmosphere where each individual will get the special attention they will need in order to grow.

About Me

I'm originally from New Mexico, but ended up growing up in a small town in Central Oregon called Madras. I had the opportunity to run Cross Country and Track at the collegiate level for a few schools and ended up getting me Associates of Arts Degree in general studies before eventually transferring to Boise State University. I have been married for 9 years to my lovely wife Laura who is from New Meadows and we share two beautiful children, Aceton and Kinzlee. Some of my interests include hunting, fishing, camping, snowboarding, and disk golf!!
