It is important to remember to look at events from the beginning where we are introduced to the characters, setting, and conflict, to the middle where the conflict continues to grow, to the end where the conflict is resolved to end the narrative.
A great way to capture the basic events which introduce and develop the conflict is to create a storyboard. This is essentially a comic that covers the important plot elements. This will help you to remember the specific order of the events, but will also help you evaluate and make basic decisions of the most important parts to include in your analysis.
