My name is Alexis. Thank you for taking the time to visit my portfolio.
I am currently a Massachusetts-based graduate student studying Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning (OPWL) at Boise State University.
I have passion, experience, and skill in providing learners with relevant and engaging content using a variety of adult learning theories (with, of course, the help of technology, from generative AI tech such as Descript and WellsaidLabs to authoring tools like the Articulate 360 suite).
Above, you can review a past video I scripted, recorded, edited, and presented using Google Docs, Google Slides, and Camtasia. The primary audience for this video was students of the OPWL 551 class, which reviewed storyboarding and scenario-based e-Learning. This video breaks down a complex task (reverse engineering a storyboard) into manageable chunks, resulting in greater learner retention.
My work with this video has recently resulted in its nomination for the Robert M. Gagné Award for Graduate Student Research in Instructional Design.
