Your course grade will reflect what you have learned, not what you have completed. Each unit will have multiple opportunities for learning. Classwork will not be graded, but it will be checked and given feedback in order to help the student understand the concept better. There will be numerous classroom assignments, formative assessments, and summative assessments per topic. Any assignment or assessment not turned in by the due date will be marked as missing in Infinite Campus. Once a Formative Assessment is passed it will be marked as Turned In.
Assessments types:
Formative assessments:are opportunities for students to practice, develop skills, and receive feedback. Students will utilize feedback in order to self-assess their progress towards a standard.
Summative Assessments:100% of the grade is based on summative assessments. Summative assessments must be completed in order to pass to class. Summative assessments are able to be retested provided all the classwork and formative assessments are turned in.
LATE WORK
Any late work that a student may have must be turned in within the reassessment window. Once the reassessment window is closed, the assessment will no longer be accepted.
EXTRA CREDIT AND BONUS POINTS
To ensure that grades reflect progress toward and achievement of the standards, giving extra credit points or bonus points will not occur in this class. The vision of U-46 is that behavior/participation will be reported separately from academic achievement and is not a component of a student’s academic grade
