This week has consisted of measuring dimensions to ensure that the solenoids hit all the anticipated strings due to the increased spacing the further down the neck the strings are. In addition, to this, me and Luke have workshopped ideas for a linear picking mechanism and I have started design of that system.
These different cross bars consist of 12 different ones for the 12 different frets. As the strings increase in space the further down the neck they go, each fret needs to have different spacing for their respective bars. The dimensions change at irregular intervals due to the thickness of the strings, so every set of spacing needs to be measured. I haven't finished this step this week but I plan on finishing this by Tuesday of week 5.
