What exactly is Musical Theatre Revue (MTR)?

Musical Theatre Revue is an IHSA Drama Competitive Activity in which 3-6 students present a 10-minute musical selection(s) from a published score(s) written for musical theatre. No live music may be used, only pre-recorded tracks without background vocals. No technical elements may be used such as costumes, set, lighting, props, etc. and may only use a table and up to 6 chairs. The performance will be recorded and submitted for judges to critique. There are no live performances for IHSA MTR.
