Discount and scholarships can help us connect with more students and families who may have not had the opportunity to join us otherwise. However, proper implementation and management of discounts and scholarships is necessary to run a center properly. This guide reviews how to appropriately handle discounts/scholarships.
Using a student report in Radius or by visiting the Business Information Dashboard, determine approximately the number of students you have currently enrolled
You can use the following formula to calculate the total number of scholarships you can give
(# of scholarships) = (# of students) * 3%
i.e.: 100 students * 3% = 3 full scholarships
This amount can be distributed however you like (i.e. - 3 full scholarships = 300% scholarship. That can be divided into six 50% scholarships or fifteen 20% scholarships, etc.)
Navigate to your center's Payments Tracker in Asana
Review the number of scholarships that have already been distributed
These scholarships DO NOT include employee discounts, marketing discounts, teacher/first responder discounts, or sibling discounts
Using the numbers calculated in Step 2 and Step 3, calculate your center's remaining scholarship budget
Our list of company mandated discount include:
50% employee discount (for part-time)
100% employee discount (for full-time)
10% sibling discount
10% military/first responder discount
20% teacher discount
Marketing discounts/scholarships (must be mentioned in Asana assessment task)
Other discounts and scholarships should be used sparingly and ONLY when necesary. Use your best judgement when giving these potential discounts!
