This means that I strive to connect with the student body collectively and student’s individually when necessary in order for them to achieve their maximum potential. I help students and all school staff to creatively problem-solve any issues that may temporarily, or otherwise pose obstacles to the learning process.
School Counseling Services are delivered in four specific ways:
Counseling Curriculum - supporting our campus goals to instill the ideals our Leader in Me Program. Stephen Covey - 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens
Individual Student Planning - assisting students with goal formation/planning with regard to behavioral, academic, and college and career goals
Responsive Services - meeting immediate students needs which include individual counseling, small group counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, referral, peer mediation, and providing information
System Support - schoolwide program planning and implementation - PBIS, Leader In Me, consulting with other professionals, coordination of various community supports for students and families
We've partnered with TCHATT to provide access to mental health services for students.
