We are all unique and special and different things make us feel happy.
Our school is in Twynyrodyn. Our school is a community where we come to learn and make new friends.
We need rules to keep us safe and happy.
Some things are okay to do at school; these are good choices. Some things are not okay to do at school; these are bad choices.
I need to take turns when playing with my friends at school.
There are adults in our community who help us: teachers, carers, postal service, shop workers, mechanics, health workers, etc.
It is important to look after our local community. Eg. putting rubbish in bins, looking after animals, being kind to neighbours.

How does this unit support learners in realising the four purposes?
By developing learners’ aspirations, resilience and empathy, they can be supported to become ambitious, capable learners, ready to learn throughout their lives.
Learners can also be supported to become ethical, informed citizens of Wales and the world by developing their ability to show respect to the community.
Effective realisation of the vision described in this Area is fundamental to developing healthy, confident individuals, ready to lead fulfilling lives as valued members of a community.
Through enabling learners to express ideas and emotions, develop and maintain healthy friendships, and take on different roles and responsibilities, the learning and experience in this Area can support learners to become creative contributors ready to play a full part in life and work.
