School trip to Brecon Mountain Railway to see Santa
During the first three weeks, children take part in baseline activities and learn how to use the classroom provision independently. Learning is rooted in their own experiences of home and family life, helping them to make connections between what they already know and their school environment. Parents support this through activities such as sending photos from home, sharing ‘first day at school’ letters, and completing the ‘dress the figure’ task. This foundation helps children feel confident talking about themselves, their families, and their immediate world before extending their understanding to the wider community and the world around them.
By building up a body of knowledge about valuing themselves, their family and others, alongside developing their self identity, learners can be supported towards becoming ambitious capable learners.
Through exploring their responsibility to value and care for others and to form positive relationships, learners will be begin to understand and consider the impact of their choices and actions.
Through enabling children to develop their understanding of happiness, together with their mental and emotion well-being, learners will interact, value and play alongside each other as healthy, confident individuals.
