What is the difference between grown ups and children?

Begin to understand that some events have happened in the past, other events are happening in the present and that more events will happen in the future.
Understanding the stages of growth over time from baby, toddler, child, teenager, adult and old age. We grow and change from a baby into a child and then an adult. We learn to do new things and get bigger as we grow. We come to school to learn to read, write, and develop lots of new skills with our teachers and friends.We learn to play together, share, take turns and understand rules. Through games we will begin to experiment with moving in different ways, e.g. running and jumping.
Who do we call in an emergency focusing on the emergency service. To know the role of a Paramedic, Doctor, Nurse, Firefighter and Police Officer. I am beginning to understand that my actions and those of others have consequences.
To develop an understanding that as we grow we have new interests. We can learn to do something we like by practising to get better at it, This is a hobby. Hobbies include, dancing, riding a bike, playing a sport or an instrument. There are lots of different hobbies. A hobby should be fun to do.
To begin to understand that as we become a grown up, adults go to work to their jobs to get paid money.. There are lots of different jobs you can choose when you are an adult.
To understand a goal is something to work for. You may wish to have a job or be good at something when you are older. This is having a goal.
Real life adults coming to visit throughout term talking to children about their jobs. E.g Firefighters, Police officer, Nurse, hairdresser etc

Developing and deepening the wider understanding of the concepts happiness, relationships and identity introduced in first term. Children will build on their prior knowledge and understanding by moving from family and ourselves to changes in ourselves over time.
The children will begin to communicate effectively their experiences and talk about the ideas and concepts they are learning about through practical, experiential learning developing their self identity. are building up a body of
knowledge and have the skills to connect and apply that knowledge in different contexts
They will be beginning to respect the needs of others .understand and consider the impact of their actions when making choices
The children are building their mental and emotional well-being by developing confidence, resilience and empathy through learning to interact and play alongside each other showing an awareness of similarities and differences.
Begin to express their ideas and emotions. Lead and play different roles in teams effectively and responsibly.
