This week's news: What a great week we have had. The children have enjoyed lots of exciting activities this week relating to Children's Mental Health week. A group of children from Owls and Hedgehogs represented our school, performing at the Feet First Dance Festival at Cheltenham Town Hall - they were amazing and we are very proud of them all. Tomorrow is an INSET so school will be closed. We look forward to seeing you all after the half term break.
Congratulations this week go to...

Please remember to drop your children at the Abbey Lawns car park steps on Monday 19th Feb and hand them over to Mrs Wiseman, Mr Davies or Miss Taylor, as per the trip letter. Children should wear school uniform, and bring a backpack with a coat, packed lunch and their filled water bottle.
If you have not already paid, please can we ask that this is done by close of business tomorrow? Many thanks.
On Monday, twenty-two of our 4,5 and 6 children attended the Feet First dance festival for Tewkebury and Cheltenham schools at the town hall in Cheltenham. They performed brilliantly with the dance they helped to choreograph at dance club, the stimulus and music being 'You will be found' from the musical 'Dear Evan Hansen'. The setting in the town hall was stunning and our children were a huge credit to the school. Well done to Tabitha, Jude, Stephanie, Millie, Cleo, Nika, Joseph, Teddy, Sam, Amelia, Evie, Eliza, Elena, Livvy, Florence, Scarlett, Maisie, Keira, Hallie, Holly, Eva-Jayne and Lewis.
Thank you to all of the volunteers who gave their time to help at the PTFA Valentine's Disco last night! The children really enjoyed dancing and playing games with their friends.
Would you like to join our Mid-day Supervisor team? We are initially looking for someone to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, hopefully with a view to more hours later in the year. Our Mid-day Supervisors work from 11:50 to 1:05pm each day; the job involves setting up the dinner tables and chairs, supervising and helping the children at mealtimes, supervising outside play on the school field, and cleaning up afterwards.
We are also looking to recruit somebody to work in our after school club, from 3:15pm to 5:15pm, supervising and leading play activities in the school hall and outside on the field.
Please email Mrs Bowen on admin@twyning.gloucs.sch.uk or catch a member of staff before or after school if you want to know more.
This week is children's mental health week . We have been celebrating the week with work in each of the classes. This is partnered work with the Place2be charity. The charity have also partnered with the Taskmaster Education team for a second year to provide a fun challenge that is focused on supporting mental health in children.
Create a picture of the most important thing...upside down.
Place2Be launched the first-ever Children's Mental Health Week in 2015 to empower, equip and give a voice to every child in the UK. It has since become a well recognised event, with hundreds of schools and colleges participating across the UK (and beyond!) as well as hundreds of children, parents and carers.
