Here is this week's news:
I hope you have all had a great week!
Photographer - Our photographer was in school on Monday and Tuesday for our annual school photographs. The children (and tiny siblings) were all amazing and we are hoping to see some lovely photo proofs soon - these should arrive with us after Half Term.
Coats - All children should now be bringing a named waterproof coat to school. We have had such changeable weather recently that we never know what the weather will bring at the moment!
Have a wonderful weekend.
Miss Gladstone

I just wanted to remind parents about the most effective ways to make contact with your child's teacher should you need to. You can also advise us if your child is off school sick/unwell on the School Spider app. This is also in the communications section of the website. This document also lists all of the emails for the teachers. We kindly ask that you do not use the private messaging system on Dojo but instead use email please. Many thanks for your support as always. spaces.schoolspider.co.uk/uploads/605/page/40075479_page_file.pdf
Congratulations to the children who ran in the first cross country race at the Vineyards yesterday.
They were an absolute credit to the school, running with determination and resilience. Our first runners to finish in each race were Isla (1st - years 5/4 girls), Jesse (4th - years 5/4 boys), Hallie (14th - year 6 girls) and Leo H (6th - year 6 boys). Lucas also deserves a special mention for his resilience to complete the race, despite injury. Well done to all our athletes: Isla, Lea, Olivia, Matilda, Willow, Jesse, Joe, Ethan W, Lachlan, Lucas, William B, George, Hallie, Leo H, Leo N-S, Theo, Jack, Bertie, Oliver T-B and William R.
If you or anyone you know would like a tour of the school with your Reception 2026 child/children, please ring or speak to Mrs Bowen to book an appointment. We are happy to show you around anytime.

Apply online for pupil premium and free school meals - check to see if your child is eligible using the confidential online portal available on our website www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/education-and-learning/free-school-meals/
You can secure a tasty free meal for your child and save yourself up to £480 per year. Plus our school receives extra funding for each eligible child registered. If you receive a qualifying benefit, we are entitled to extra funding. So even if you don’t want your child to take a free meal, you should still apply to make sure that we receive all the government funding to which we are entitled.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 already receiving an Universal Infant Free School Meal arranged by their school, will still need to apply to enable school to get any extra funding. For further information, including a list of qualifying benefits, click the link above.
