Here is this week's news:
I hope you have all had a great week! The children are definitely ready for the Half Term break - they have all worked really hard this term.
School Disco - Thank you to our PTFA and all our parent helpers and staff who put so much time and effort in to organising and running the event - the children all loved it and it was a great fundraiser. Please see the additional information below about school discos in the future!
Parents evenings appointments went live for booking on Wednesday at midday . If you are having difficulties with the Spider app or need to book your appointment manually please email Mrs Bowen in the office or pop in after Half Term.
Please also see the update below regarding clubs.
Have a wonderful week.

It has come to my attention this morning that a few of our older children in Y6 had brought their mobile phones with them to the disco last night which members of staff were unaware of. Our policy states that we do not allow children to have their phones with them on our school site - this includes discos and all other school related events. Should you wish to discuss this further please do get in touch with me.
CHRISTMAS CARD/GIFTS - We managed to extend the date so if you still need to order please do so by close of business on 24th October - tomorrow!
We have had the Royal British Legion poppy box in school this week, with poppies, 'festival style' wrist bands, 'slap bands' and pin badges available amongst other items. Please note, slap bands, if bought, should be kept in book bags until home time. Cash donations should be made into the collection box next to the sale items outside the Office. These will be with us until Remembrance day. Many thanks.
Parents Evenings are being held on 17th, 19th and 20th November. Appointments are now live for booking via the School Spider app. Any problems please ring or email Mrs Bowen and she can book you in.
Please remember to top up your child's ParentPay account to cover their school dinners. Your account should be in credit at all times so please make sure there is enough in there to cover the next few weeks. Many thanks.

Apply online for pupil premium and free school meals - check to see if your child is eligible using the confidential online portal available on our website www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/education-and-learning/free-school-meals/
You can secure a tasty free meal for your child and save yourself up to £480 per year. Plus our school receives extra funding for each eligible child registered. If you receive a qualifying benefit, we are entitled to extra funding. So even if you don’t want your child to take a free meal, you should still apply to make sure that we receive all the government funding to which we are entitled.
Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 already receiving an Universal Infant Free School Meal arranged by their school, will still need to apply to enable school to get any extra funding. For further information, including a list of qualifying benefits, click the link above.
I just wanted to remind parents about the most effective ways to make contact with your child's teacher should you need to. You can also advise us if your child is off school sick/unwell on the School Spider app. This is also in the communications section of the website. This document also lists all of the emails for the teachers. We kindly ask that you do not use the private messaging system on Dojo but instead use email please. Many thanks for your support as always. spaces.schoolspider.co.uk/uploads/605/page/40075479_page_file.pdf
