Here is this week's news:
This week our Y6 SATs results came out and we are so proud of all of the children - what a superb job they have done! Well done Y6!
What an amazing success the Y5 & 6 play was - it really was The Greatest Show! I'm sure those of you who came to see it were equally impressed. Well done to everybody involved in the whole production. and to all of our amazing actors and singers and dancers!
Our years 3 & 4 children have enjoyed their residential trip to Macaroni Wood near Cirencester this week - thank you to Mrs Leggett and all of the staff for giving up their time to take the children.
Yesterday, the older children who learn instruments with Aidan Pope performed the musical pieces they have been learning with Aidan to their parents - we were treated to some impressive performances, and a wonderful performance by our year 6 band! Well done to all involved.
Next week is going to be another busy one - we have the summer disco, the leavers disco, 'Break the Rules day', and the Leavers service and assemblies - I can't believe we are nearly at the end of the school year already!
I wish you all a wonderful weekend.
Congratulations this week go to...

Back by popular demand... Break the rules day! This will be held on Tuesday 16th July. The children absolutely loved this PTFA event last year and it was lovely to see them all with funny socks, different coloured hair etc! Please see the list of rules they are allowed to break this time, and the payment associated. All money will go towards the PTFA funds which are used to pay for all sorts of play equipment, books, special events, new IT equipment, and other items that we simply cannot afford to buy from school funds. We hope you will enjoy and support this event.
The final discos of the year will be held on Wednesday 17th July in the school hall. Please hand your forms and money to Mrs Bowen or your child's class teacher as soon as possible.
Please note the earlier disco is for reception up to year 4 children, and the later disco is purely for year 5 and 6 this time.
The donations box for good quality trainers, PE shoes, school shoes, school bags, pencil cases etc is on the blue table in the lower playground. If you are having a clear out and find any old but usable good quality items I'm sure there are many other children in Gloucestershire and our local area who are in need of them. These items will be collected and sent to children who may not be fortunate enough to have these school items. Please drop any items in during this last week of this term. Thank you for support.
The year 3 and 4 children have spent the last few days at Macaroni Wood on residential - they certainly enjoyed themselves and had a great time! Thank you to everyone involved in making this happen. Its great for the children to be able to experience these activities - in two days, they have packed in den building, archery, nature walking, campfire, team building and even watched last nights England match!
Thank you to the Twyning Men's Shed who have made this lovely 'friendship bench' for our school! The children absolutely love it and as a school we really appreciate this wonderful gift.
Please note that ALL school dinner account debts MUST be cleared or in credit by the last week of term. Please make sure that you have also credited enough money to your child's parentpay account to pay for your child's dinners in that last week! Dinners cost £2.71 so a full week will be £13.55.
Dear Parents
We are excited to share that our school hosted a Money Wise workshop this year that was aimed at enhancing our students' financial literacy. The workshop provided valuable insights and practical skills to help students manage their finances better.
To understand the impact of the workshop, the Make Sense of Pence team is keen to hear from you and your children. They are collecting stories and feedback on any changes or new habits formed as a result of attending the workshop. Here’s an inspiring quote from one of the students:
“It has helped me to understand the value of money. Just the other day I was going to buy a really expensive water bottle, but I didn’t, I found a cheaper one.”
We kindly ask you to share your child's experiences and any positive changes you have noticed by filling out the form at the link below. All entries will be entered into a draw to win a Hootini the Owl Hoody.

Your participation is greatly appreciated and will help the Make Sense of Pence team continue to improve and tailor their workshops to benefit more students.
Thank you for your time and support.
