2024 -2025 Executive Board
Dr. Gabrielle Smith is an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work, Philosophy, and Psychology on the Denton campus. She is trained in experimental and social psychology and her research and teaching examines the intersection of marginalized social identities with specific emphasis on race, gender, and socioeconomic status. She is also a co-coordinator of the Faculty of Color Writing Workshop and the Fund Development Secretary for the Dallas Fort Worth Urban League Young Professionals.
Porsche Cullors is the manager of Academic Budgets at Texas Woman's University (TWU) in Denton, TX. She oversees the day-to-day operation of the academic resource and budget functions for the Executive Vice President of Academic Affairs/ Provost and coordinates the budget processes with the academic departments, the academic support areas, and the Budget Office. Porsche received her MBA in August 2006 and a BA degree in Mass Communications-Television, Film, and Radio in May 2002 both from Texas Southern University. Prior to joining the TWU family, Porsche worked as department business administrator at the School of Business at Texas Southern University for 13 years. Porsche is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. On her free time, she enjoys being a wife and mom, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Ashton Middleton-Brown is the Manager of Nursing Student Services and an UNIV 1231 Instructor at Texas Woman’s University (TWU) in Denton, TX. As a manager, she oversees the office of Student Services with staff on all three campuses and ensures a successful outcome for the nursing students entering the TWU BSN program. Ashton received her M.S. in College Student Personnel Services from Arkansas State University- Jonesboro in August 2018. She also received her B.S. in Addiction Studies from the University of Central Arkansas in 2010. Prior to joining TWU in October 2020, she worked for the Arkansas Department of Education as an Educator Investigator. She currently serves as Parliamentarian for TWU’s Staff Council and volunteers with the TWU Campus Alliance for Resource Education (CARE) Mobile Food Pantry. Ashton is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. When she is not working, Ashton enjoys trying new foods, playing games, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with her husband, family, and friends.

His research and teaching explores diversity in organizations and organizational behavior. He also conducts workshops and gives presentations on DEI change management strategy and served in various managerial roles in the non-profit and government sector before teaching in higher education.
Nikkole Stewart, Ed.D. is the Director of University Academic Advising in Denton where she is responsible for the daily oversight and coordination of undergraduate academic advising, the early alert program, academic recovery, and the implementation of retention strategies. Nikkole serves on the Strategic Retention Council, Orientation Advisory Committee, and the Strategic Enrollment Management Committee. She has more than 20 years of higher education experience in academic and career advising, admissions and student activities. Nikkole a grew up in South Carolina and Valdosta, GA, is chef wife to Michael, a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and serves at her church in Prosper.
Kimberly Richardson is the Dallas Library Coordinator of Circulation Services. She joined the TWU Libraries in 1998 and provides services primarily to students and faculty in the health sciences. In her spare time she enjoys day hiking, reading, genealogy, and quilting.
Dr. Marlene Williams is an assistant professor and licensed psychologist in Texas. She currently serves as faculty in the graduate Counseling Psychology program at Texas Woman's University. Her research applies an intersectional feminist framework on exploring the impact of gendered racism on mental health outcomes among Black women. Marlene has a passionate commitment to social justice advocacy and identity based equity, which is exemplified in her research, teaching, and practice. In addition to teaching, she is actively engaged in private practice serving predominantly BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals.

Keithchell Taylor is the Houston Campus Operations Coordinator. As coordinator, she plans and executes several special events such as commencement and the Board of Regents (BOR). She is also known to interact, assist and support departments such as the Office of Admissions, Financial, Aid, Disability Services, and many others. Keithchell received her B.S. in Biology from Dillard University, in New Orleans, LA in 2011. She is also a proud member of TWU Staff Council & TAPA group. Keithchell is family-oriented and driven by her passion of connecting and building strong interpersonal relationships with her family, friends, and colleagues.

Dr. Brewer recognizes the need for diversity in higher education to produce a workforce in healthcare that resembles the patient population they will serve. With the assistance of a grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, Dr. Brewer was involved in the recruitment and retention efforts of students from under-represented backgrounds to the School of Physical Therapy at TWU on the Houston campus. Presently, Dr. Brewer serves as an academic liaison between two historically Black institutions of higher education (Texas Southern and Prairie View A&M Universities) and TWU’s School of Physical Therapy
Robert-Thomas Jones serves Texas Woman’s University as Assistant Director for Student Life on the Dallas campus. Robert-Thomas has spent the last 12 years educating college students from all across the country on best leadership practices. In his spare time, Robert-Thomas enjoys music, traveling, spending time with family, and intellectual conversations.

Elizabeth Durham, currently serves as the Director of Scholar Programs where she oversees three scholarship programs on the Denton campus. Over the past ten years, she has worked in the higher education industry within various units coordinating and supporting functions for academic advising, retention and early alert, orientation, recruitment and academic programming. Elizabeth is highly invested in student success especially as it relates to first-generation college students. She is also an active member of the Omicron Mu Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Dr. Elia Tamplin (They/E) currently serves as the Coordinator for Experiential Learning in the Pioneer Center for Student Excellence on the Denton Campus. With a Ph.D. in Multicultural Women’s and Gender Studies, Dr. Tamplin examines the intersection of marginalized identities of race, gender, and class within higher education, and has presented, specifically, on intersectionality theory and Women of Color experiences in academic advising. Over the past five years, they have also worked as an academic coach to various student populations.
Tanisha Johnson is currently the Coordinator of Dual Enrollment at TWU on the Denton campus. She manages the partnerships with over ten different school districts that encompasses 18 high schools. Tanisha received her Bachelor’s degree from Dillard University in New Orleans, LA and her Master’s degree in Urban Planning/Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). She has presented on college outreach, recruitment, K-12 partnerships and dual enrollment. Tanisha is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Kappa Zeta Chapter.
Kiara Butler is the Program Coordinator for Student Life on the Dallas campus. She has over 4 years of experience in higher education. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Prairie View A&M University and her Master of Education in Higher Education from the University of North Texas. She enjoys meeting new people and bringing people together in a fun and meaningful way. Her top 5 CliftonStrengths are Harmony, Empathy, Futuristic, Positivity, and Consistency.
