o We have laundry facilities at the main station building.
o The kitchens are equipped with all the basics for cooking and eating.
o Most of the houses have a phone (local calls only) and wireless internet.
o There is little to no cell phone access in Wawona. Verizon maybe. AT&T no.
o There is a post office at the general store near the Wawona gas station.
Before being appointed Chief Deputy Director in 2020, Valerie served as executive director of the California Fish and Game Commission. She was fisheries policy director for the California Ocean Protection Council from 2007 to 2016 and served in the Peace Corps as an environmental protection volunteer from 1998 to 2000 in Togo, West Africa.
Termini received a bachelor’s degree in political science from Whittier and a master’s degree in international environmental policy from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies.
Wendy works as a General Counsel at California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Wendy graduated from University of California , Berkeley School of Law. She has legal experience in a number of sectors and previously worked at at California Highway Patrol and Downey Brand.

Carol is a professor of wildlife ecology at Northern Arizona University’s School of Forestry. She has worked with bats for 15 years studying their habitat use and ecological roles in the Southwest. After completing her PhD at Oregon State University, she landed in the Southwest where the bat community is the most diverse and interesting in the US.
Carol currently serves as the Immediate Past-President of The Wildlife Society.

Randi founded McCormick Biological, Inc. in 2001 with only two biologists and an administrative assistant. Since then, MBI has grown to a staff of over 25 biologists and additional support staff. During peak periods, MBI may staff up to 65 biologists and field technicians for seasonal work or in response to client needs.
Randi has served on the TWS Western Section Board for many years, first as the Chapter Representative for the San Joaquin Chapter and now as the President-Elect.
The Yosemite and Sequoia field stations were established in 2006, within a larger research partnership between UC Merced, Yosemite National Park, Sequoia Kings Canyon National Park and the U.S. Geological Survey. In 2009, the Yosemite Field Station was accepted into the UC Natural Reserve System as its 36th reserve.
