Hello!
I'm Jane Nelse S. Parago, originally from the lively south-central Luzon, Philippines. I was born and raised in the city of Lucena from the “coconut” capital of the Philippines, Quezon Province.
Presently, I serve as a Foreign English Teacher at Yongxing Elementary School in Yongjing Township, Changhua County, Taiwan.
I took up Bachelor of Secondary Education, major in English at St. Anne College Lucena, Inc.
I have had a variety of teaching experiences that have shaped who I am as a teacher today.
I started by teaching for 2 years at a private school, where I learned the importance of structure and planning.
After that, I worked as a substitute English teacher at a public high school for 1 year, which taught me how to be flexible, adapt quickly, and connect with different kinds of students.
For the past 4 years, I’ve also worked as an online English teacher and coach for foreign students of all ages.
This experience helped me become more patient, creative, and skilled at using different strategies to match each student’s learning style.
All of these roles have helped me grow both personally and professionally. They taught me how to handle different classroom situations, communicate effectively, and always put students' needs first.
Today, I use everything I’ve learned to create a fun, supportive, and effective learning environment where students can do their best and enjoy learning.
