I believe we don’t own our children—we owe them: care, guidance, patience, and the freedom to grow into themselves. Educationists play a powerful role in shaping young lives. As a teacher, I remain open to continuous growth through learning, unlearning, and relearning.
My teaching journey started as a volunteer teacher in a village in Rajasthan, India. I stayed there for a month and enjoyed the slow and peaceful countryside life. Spending time with children made me realise that we often under-estimate their abilities. Sometimes you need to be an observer, before you take up the role of the teacher in your students' lives.
Learning through play (Village Spirit Academy, Karawara, Udaipur, India)
I had an enriching and memorable experience working at Chung Cheng Elementary School in Zhubei, Hsinchu County, Taiwan. As my first formal school, it will always hold a special place in my heart for making me feel like I truly belonged. I am deeply grateful to my co-teachers, staff, and students, who made the journey from my homeland to Taiwan feel meaningful and worthwhile.

Ho-Sin Elementary School, Pitou, (Changhua County) is my workplace now. It's been a refreshing change after moving from Hsinchu City. We as humans look at life relatively. I realised that while moving from India to Taiwan, and I realised that again when I moved from Hsinchu to Pitou. Time seems to move slowly here. I literally stop to smell the flowers, feel the different textures of trees and their leaves. I'm grateful for the moments when I get to close my eyes to listen to the birds, rustling of the leaves, and feel the gentle breeze.
