SEPTEMBER
In this activity, students will celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival by creating their own personalized rabbit lanterns using paper. They will have the opportunity to explore their creativity by designing and decorating their lanterns with colors and unique touches. This hands-on project not only allows students to learn about the cultural significance of the festival but also provides a fun way to learn vocabulary related to Mid-Autumn Festival.
OCTOBER
In this activity, students will create handprint art to celebrate Taiwan's Double Tenth Day. They will also learn and practice vocabulary related to National Day, helping them better understand the cultural significance of the holiday. This creative project allows students to express themselves while gaining new language skills connected to the celebration.
NOVEMBER
In this activity, students will celebrate Halloween by creating art using toilet rolls. They will also learn Halloween-related vocabulary, gaining a deeper understanding of the holiday while having fun with this creative project.
DECEMBER
In this Christmas special lesson, students will explore how Christmas is celebrated in the Philippines, learning about unique traditions, decorations, and festive foods that make the holiday special. They will also have the opportunity to try playing traditional Filipino games, gaining hands-on experience of Filipino culture and enjoying the fun and excitement of these classic activities. This lesson provides a great way to engage with cultural practices while enhancing language skills.
In this Christmas special story telling, students in 7th grade will be reading the story "Sneezy the Snowman". As a post activity, they will be making their own melted snowman and make a short story why their snowman melted similar with the story introduced.
