Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 11, from 5PM - 7PM!
The Township of Union is proud to announce its 4th annual STEAM fair for students in grades K-5. This is an opportunity for students to research, experiment, and present a project on a science, technology, engineering, or math topic, while approaching their projects with a creative or artistic lens (the "A" in STEAM). This perspective is based on the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) where students are encouraged to focus not just on results, but on their process, one that includes trial and error, divergent thinking, dynamic problem solving, and plenty of perseverance.
The STEAM Fair is a non-competitive event – each student’s participation will be recognized, and the reward is in the enjoyment of the project, feeling proud of your work, and having fun the evening of the fair! One of the members of our team will visit each project to provide students a chance to officially present their work and answer some questions about it – this is meant to be a positive experience!
