Meet The Counselor

My name is Fatima DeCorte and I am the Jefferson School Counselor. I am so excited to be part of the Jefferson family. Jefferson School is a close-knit and welcoming community and I feel very lucky to be part of it! During this transitional year, my passion is to support the students at Jefferson School. 

As a School Counselor, my primary responsibility is to promote the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students. I am the School Counselor, Anti-Bullying Specialist, and Chairperson of the Interventions & Referral Services (I&RS) and 504 Committees. I offer support to the Jefferson students, staff, families, and community. I meet with students individually and in small groups, conduct classroom counseling lessons, meet with parents, collaborate with teachers and staff, and consult with community organizations to benefit and meet the needs of all Union Township students.
