Paramedicine and Emergency Response International Conference
為促進醫療救護專業的提升,提高醫療救護品質,由台灣醫療救護學會(Taiwan Society of Paramedicine,TSP)主辦,衛生福利部、內政部消防署及醫療救護相關非政府組織聯手「2023醫療救護與緊急應變國際研討會」(#TSP2023)於2023年9月23日和24日舉行。本次研討會旨在匯聚全球醫療救護專業人士,提供學術交流、知識分享的平台。活動內容豐富多元,包括專題演講、學術發表、教育訓練和工作坊,探討醫療救護研究、臨床實務、教育訓練和安全衛生等多個議題。
第一天的活動安排了上午和下午的工作坊,討論重要主題包括社區災難應變、研究與緊急醫療救護(Emergency Medical Service,EMS)教研體系發展以及EMS同儕支持系統的推動。
第二天上午,特邀三位澳洲蒙納許大學(Monash University)醫療救護學系的傑出教授演講,Brett Williams教授為澳洲蒙納許大學救護學系教授與學校國際交流部門主管,擁有豐富的救護學術經驗。Tony Walker教授已將近40年的救護生涯,曾擔任Ambulance Victoria的首席執行官,對提升救護人員的健康和社區應變做出了重大貢獻。Alan Eade教授目前任職維多利亞州政府首席救護官,在緊急救護與領導能力方面的教育與推動有十足的影響力。這三位教授在醫療救護領域具有豐富的專業知識和經驗,分享國際EMS研究趨勢、澳洲救護服務的職業安全衛生推動,以及澳洲救護人員分級制度和各級救護人員的角色。第二天下午的活動將包括學術海報發表和學術研究口頭發表,共有33篇海報發表和14篇口頭發表,展示各地醫療救護專業人士的研究成果和實務經驗。
TSP理事長范傑閔醫師表示,醫療救護是一個充滿挑戰和責任的領域,關係到每一位傷病患,甚至可能是生死攸關的一刻。這次研討會在謹慎評估後,發現目前臨床上的需要,除了專業講座外,並增加專業工作坊、學術交流和網絡建立等多個豐富多彩的活動。期盼透過來自全國各地的醫療救護專業人士、學者和實踐者,一同探討當前醫療救護領域的最新趨勢、技術創新和最佳實踐。共同提高醫療救護的品質。
台灣醫療救護學會TSP是依法設立的社團法人,致力於推動台灣的醫療救護成為法定醫療專業,強化醫療救護教育體系,提升醫療救護教學和研究的水平。TSP的使命包括推動醫療救護相關科系的發展,提升醫療救護職能,建立認證機制,參與制定培訓課程,支持學術研究及舉辦研討會,促進國際交流,並協助制定醫療救護準則,以不斷提升台灣的醫療救護水平。

International Conference on Paramedicine and Emergency Response Joins Forces with Leading Scholars

[TAIPEI, Taiwan] In a groundbreaking collaboration between governmental and non-governmental organizations, the Taiwan Society of Paramedicine (TSP) is hosting the "2023 International Conference on paramedicine and Emergency Response" (#TSP2023) on September 23rd and 24th, 2023. This conference aims to elevate the standards of paramedicine and emergency response by providing a platform for global paramedicine professionals to engage in academic discourse and share knowledge.
On the first day, morning and afternoon sessions were dedicated to workshops that address critical topics such as community disaster response, the development of research and Emergency Medical Service (EMS) education systems, and the promotion of EMS peer support systems.
During the morning of the second day, three distinguished professors from Monash University's Department of Paramedicine in Australia delivered keynote speeches. Professor Brett Williams, who held the position of Professor of Paramedicine and Head of the International Relations Department at Monash University, shared valuable insights into global EMS research trends. Professor Tony Walker, with nearly 40 years of paramedicine experience, including serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Ambulance Victoria, discussed occupational health and safety initiatives in Australian EMS. Professor Alan Eade, then serving as the Chief Paramedic Officer of the Victorian government, provided valuable insights into the classification system for Australian EMS personnel and their respective roles.
The afternoon of the second day will feature academic poster presentations and oral presentations, showcasing the research accomplishments and practical experiences of paramedicine and emergency response professionals from around the world.
Dr. Fan, Chairman of TSP, expressed that paramedicine and emergency response is a field laden with challenges and responsibilities, often involving critical life-and-death moments for patients. This conference aims to meet the clinical needs of the field by offering not only professional lectures but also diverse workshops and networking opportunities. The objective is to collectively enhance the quality of paramedicine and emergency response.
TSP, established as a legal entity, is dedicated to elevating paramedicine and emergency response in Taiwan to a recognized medical profession, strengthening the paramedicine and emergency response education system, and advancing teaching and research in the field. TSP's mission includes promoting the development of paramedicine and emergency response-related disciplines, enhancing paramedicine and emergency response capabilities, establishing certification mechanisms, participating in the development of training programs, supporting academic research, organizing seminars, facilitating international exchanges, and assisting in the formulation of paramedicine and emergency response standards. TSP is committed to academic research and professional training, continually raising the bar for paramedicine and emergency response in Taiwan.
