Your student will be using Pearson online learning for their core language arts lessons.
Anything that is assigned will be displayed in To Do List. This list will show the expected submission date as well as when your student completed the assignment.
Your student is encouraged to look back into the story and the grammar reference page while they are completing their assignments.
iReady
iReady
iReady is the online program used by our district to work with your student at their level. The students will complete an assessment at the beginning of the year and then the program guides them through various activities leading to mastery of the third grade standards. iReady should be completed independently as both correct and incorrect answers help the program continue to assess your student's needs. iReady is accessed via Classlink. It is located on the curriculum tab.
DLI/Writing
DLI/Writing
Daily Language Instruction and Daily Writing are both paper and pencil activities your child will complete independently. The concepts will be introduced on Day 1 and will be practiced on Days 2, 3 and 4. On Day 5, we will have a quick quiz for DLI to show mastery of the standard. We will also complete a writing assignment to polish the standards we have practiced during the week. Every other week we will publish a piece or writing using Google Docs.

It is our belief that not every student learns in the same manner. We utilize several different programs along with spiral review to help your student see the standards in different ways and apply them in a variety of situations.
