Meet Ms. Voigt
A Little About Me!
I was born in Vallejo, California.
I wanted to be a veterinarian growing up. I took a Child Development class in college that changed my mind. It was then that I knew I wanted to be a teacher.
I have taught Kinder, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th. I have to say that teaching junior high students is just as rewarding as it is challenging. It is amazing what these students teach me day in and day out.
I went to college at Sacramento State.
I earned my master's degree through Lesley University.
I have 3 amazing kids. They are 14, 11, and 8.
We are very active family. My children play sports and participate in many after-school activities. It is important for me to teach my kids how to balance school, family, and everything else that comes up in life.
A few of my favorite things: Working out, watching movies, playing and watching sports, candy (especially Snickers, sour candy, and peanut butter M&Ms), and being outside!
I am REAL. I make mistakes just like everyone does. It is through these mistakes that we have the opportunity to grow.
I believe in hard work and have a strong work ethic.
I believe everyone can learn! Do have a growth or fixed mindset?
