Hey Familes-
This is really cool. SWUN has created some at home review lessons. If you have internet/ laptop access this would be a nice way to get some math practice in. There are answer keys too. The only downside is that you can't type on the computer. You will either need to print the pages or write answers on a separate sheet of paper.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT NO WORK IS REQUIRED. THESE ARE ALL OPTIONAL ASSIGNMENTS. NONE OF THESE WILL BE GRADED OR USED FOR REPORT CARDS.
Work from Home:
Math:
1. JiJi- go to stmath.com- use the regular series of pictures, letters, and numbers to log in. You do not need an activation code as all lessons are now available as homework.
2. Work your way through the math homework books from trimester 1 and 2, unless you have already completed that work. For Trimester 3, only complete 8.1- 8.3. That is as far as we have gotten.
3. Log on to Timestables.com and Multiplication.com. Cool Math games is not an educational website! Do not use this as a substitute.
4. Play multiplication war with cards.
5. IXL math – please contact me on Bloomz if you are unable to get your child logged on. I recommend any skill in either 3rd or 4th grade.
Reading:
1. Read the AR books that your child checked out from the library.
2. IXL ELA 3rd or 4th grade skills
3. I have put reading assignments in Google Classroom. They are from Readworks. I will assign more as needed. If your child scores less than 60%, I will reassign the lesson for them to try again. If you need the class code for Google Classroom it is nbplve3.
Writing:
1. If you have a journal, notebook, or pages of paper, please have your child write each day.
2. At my house we have been using https://classroommagazines.scholastic.com/support/learnathome.html
These are the Scholastic Learn at Home lessons. You can do Grades 1-5. Some of the early grades have really wonderful books that aren't just for young kids. Then after the lesson you could do a Paragraph of the Week on what you learned. There are multiple weeks worth of lessons, so there are lots of interesting subjects.
Science/Social Studies:
1. I sent home 3 Social Students newspapers in the last batch of Wednesday folder materials. Please read these with your child and have them complete the questions and puzzles. You can do one per week. Your child can also journal about what they have learned in social studies.
2. For science you can go on Mystery Science and do the free science labs. You can also google easy science activities to do at home with your children.
3. On the TR app page there is a tab for Social Studies. It is called Studies Weekly. There are digital versions of the weekly readers.
P.E.
1. Students can go on Go Noodle, jump rope, or do anything with movement .

2. Go to Sami Circuit on youtube. There are live workouts at 1:00 every week day. They last about 25 minutes.
3. Go for a walk! We have had some nice weather lately, so take a stroll around the neighborhood for some fresh air and sunshine.
4. Practice dancing the Macarena and send a video to me!
So how do you plan your day? It's up to you. Here is a suggestion, but make the school work fit into your life. Some days you might do more, others less or maybe even none on other days.
Start with 30 minutes of wake up time- get breakfast.
Do 45 minutes of reading. This might include reading quietly or reading or listening to a story on Epic. You can also do the reading and quizzes on Google Classroom.
Take a 15 minute break.
Do 45 minutes of math. This might include ixl math or swunmath.com. It might be flashcards with a family member or games on multiplication.com
Take a lunch break- 30-45 minutes
Do 45 minutes of grammar or ELA skills. This might be ixl ELA. You can also visit Schlastic Learn at Home and do some activities here. You could journal about how you're doing or something that you learned.
Take a 15 minute break.
Do 20 minutes of PE. Also do 25 minutes of Social Studies or Science. Alternatively, you can do 25 minutes of Art.
You're done for the day. I advise setting a timer on your phone so you stay on task.
I will continue to update this webpage so check back every once in a while. Hang in there!
