Welcome to the Saber Explorers Website!  My name is Angie Goemaat. I am starting my 19th year of teaching! But this year I will be in a new room and teaching something different...I will be teaching K-6th ART and K-12 Extended Learning/Talented and Gifted students at Twin Cedrs.  This website will be a resource for you and your students to help you stay informed with what is happening in our classrooms.

POP UP LIBRARY DATES

The Twin Cedars Pop Up Library will be "popping up" on Mondays in June and July this year!

Mark your calendar: June 6, 13, 20, and 27

                                       July 5th (Tuesday), 11, 18, and 25

Also be sure to check out the Bussey Community Library programs. Good stuff happening there too!

August 18 (Thursday) 5:30-6:30  BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT-MEET THE TEACHER

                                       5:00-5:30                  JUNIOR HIGH ORIENTATION

August 23:  TUESDAY)  FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!! YAY!! We are looking forward to this day and seeing you all!

August 23-24: We will dismiss early each of these days-gives us all a chance to ease into the school year.

September 2 (FRIDAY) EARLY DISMISS-September 5: Labor Day-Enjoy our first 3 Day weekend.

September 20: MIDTERM 1st Quarter (20 days)

September 21 (Wednesday) - September 23 (Friday): TEACHER PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT-students WILL NOT have school on these days! 

October 24 (Monday) End of 1st Quarter (41 days)  Yay!! You made it through the first quarter of the schoo year-give yourself a pat on the back!!

**Watch for notes about the Halloween Parade and parties

November 1st: (Tuesday)-4:00p.m to 8:00p.m.   November 3rd (Thursday) 4:00-7:00  PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES!! As these days get closer watch for notes from your student's teachers. We love to visit with you about your students. Our goal is to have 100% participation...let's work together to find times that work for ALL INVOLVED to reach this goal!

November 21: MIDTERM (2nd quarter--20 days)

November 22: Early Dismiss-   NOVEMBER 23-27: THANKSGIVING BREAK...wishing you all a blessed Thanksgiving break and come back to school on November 28th rested and  ready to finish the 2 quarter STRONG!

December 22: 12:30 Dismiss-  End of 2nd quarter (41 days, end of 1st Semester 82 days)  Yay!! You have completed 18 weeks of school-You are a CHAMP!!

December 23-January 3-Wishing you all a restful Winter Holiday-Enjoy this time! We will see you in 2023!! 

January 2: Teachers have Professional development: The learning never stops!

February 3:  Mid-term 3rd Quarter (24 days)

February 20:  Teacher In-Service No School Parent/Teacher Conferences begin at 1:00

March 2: Early dismiss 

March 3: No school!

March 10:  End of 3rd quarter (47 days)

April 6: 2 Hour Early-Out

April 7-10: Easter Break (no school)

April 17: Mid-Term 4th quarter (24 days)
