Students with Disabilities Services

This program is a service of the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. It is a wraparound program for families who have children experiencing severe emotional disabilities.

There are many different programs offered within the Wisconsin Department of Health Services. In regards to children experiencing disabilities, they have two prominent services listed below.

Birth to 3 Program: This program offers early intervention for children from birth to 3 to support any developmental delays or disabilities.

Children's Long-Term Support Waiver: This program helps fund and support programs to help children with disabilities in daily activities in the home and community. For more information and resources click here!

The Autism Society of Southeastern Wisconsin exists to improve the lives of all affected by autism. They do this by increasing public awareness about the day-to-day issues faced by people on the spectrum, advocating for appropriate services for individuals across the life span, and providing the latest information regarding treatment, education, research and advocacy.

Decoding Dyslexia Wisconsin is a parent-led grassroots movement concerned with the limited access to educational interventions for dyslexia within the public education system. They aim to raise dyslexia awareness, empower families to support their children and inform policy-makers on best practices to identify, remediate and support students with dyslexia.
