Purpose:
Select Chorus is an auditioned group of middle school singers in grades 6-8 that want to be challenged by learning advanced 3-4 part choral repertoire, in addition to their standard grade level choral music. We hold auditions every September. Auditions are open to any student in good standing who is enrolled in MS chorus grades 6-8
Meetings & Activities:
Select Chorus meets once a week to rehearse, discuss trips, fundraisers, they perform and have competitions as well as other community events.

Purpose:
The purpose of this club is to give students the opportunity to compete with each other and with students from other schools. While playing, students will also be improving skills such as communication, sportsmanship, critical thinking and problem solving.

Purpose:
The objective of the Leo Club Program is, “To provide the youth of the world with an opportunity for development and contribution, individually and collectively, as responsible members of the local, national, and international community.” Leo Club is offered to all grades in the middle school.
Meetings & Activities:
The Leo Club meets on scheduled dates to have meetings, fundraisers and offer volunteer opportunities outside of school time.

Purpose:
To give students a variety of opportunities to explore STEM topics, from disassembling old technology to 3D printing.
Makers Club is open to 5th and 6th grade students in TVMS. We are excited to offer the club this year in the form of "mini-sessions". Each session will be 3 or more weeks long, depending on the topic. Rather than committing to a year-long club, students can choose which mini-sessions interest them and just sign up for those.

The Reading Olympics is based upon research which shows that good reading habits form the foundation for a productive and successful life. Reading Olympics is designed to inspire students to read for pleasure and learn the value of teamwork at the same time!
Reading Olympics is a countywide reading event that encourages students to increase the quality and quantity of books they read for enjoyment. The Reading Olympics is based upon research which shows that good reading habits form the foundation for a productive and successful life. Reading Olympics is designed to inspire students to read for pleasure and learn the value of teamwork at the same time! In addition to helping students develop a habit of daily reading for pleasure, the Berks County Reading Olympics provides students with the opportunity to have interactive discussions with their peers on the content of the books.

Purpose:
Running Club focuses on creating an atmosphere where all students will learn to enjoy running, improve their ability to run (farther and/or faster), create a running community, and learn other running basics such as proper nutrition, hydration, and stretching. These 6-week sessions culminate with a race or other running event.
Meetings & Activities:
2x/week- Tues/Thurs 3:15-5pm Fall and Spring Sessions (6 weeks each) Dates of sessions vary and are dependent upon culminating race dates. They also participate in the Fitzy 5K Race in the fall and the Raider Stride and Mind Your Health 5K in the spring!

Purpose:
The purpose of ski club is to present an opportunity for winter outdoor activity with friends and peers. The club also offers lessons. Ski Club is a great way to enjoy outdoor winter activity. The club is for beginners and experts alike! Blue Mountain offers ski and snowboarding lessons to any new participant. If you're an expert and want to bring your own equipment, you can. Students get to ski the slopes with friends and/or make new friends who enjoy this particular activity.

Students research an assigned manufacturer and then create a video for a county competition.
