According to ODE, and in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 3319.112, the rubric describes four levels of teacher performance for each component within the six rubric domains. Each performance rating can also be described in more general terms as a holistic rating of teacher performance.

This rating indicates the teacher is working to utilize his or her growing knowledge and skills.
This rating indicates that the teacher fails to demonstrate minimum performance expectations.
