Graphic Arts
Graphic Arts used to be the common name for the study of the processes used in the printing industry. Graphic Communications or Communications Technology is now a more accurate term, because the printing industry creates products that visually convey messages.
This is an extremely challenging time for anyone involved in graphic communications. Advances in electronics and the application of these advances to graphic communications processes have made it vital to keep up-to-date with changes in equipment capabilities and operating procedures.
The Villages High School Graphic Arts Department is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment used in today's real world, and industry leading graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Cloud.
Students in Graphic Arts will be able to certify in a different Adobe program at the end of each semester. They have a chance of leaving our school with certifications in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe Indesign.Â
Welcome to the world of Communications Technology!
