Bookmark Challenge

Use the bookmark templates to create two different book marks:

1. Encourage someone to read! What would you tell someone learning to read?

2. Design a bookmark for your favorite book. Which images best represent the book?

We will be laminating them so please make sure to put your name on the back!

Book Spine Poetry

1. Browse many different book spines and choose 1 or 2 that spark your interest or speak to your heart.

2. Find other book spines that compliment your first choice. Don't edit - just grab any spines that may work! Stop when you have 6-8 books.

3. Start playing with combinations and swapping spines. Try putting your poem together like a puzzle and explore how changing the order changes the meaning of your poem.

4. Read your poem to yourself.

5. Read your poem to a partner. When it sounds right, have your teacher take a picture and share it with the hashtag #ggmreads.
