On your marks, get set...get creative! Learn about STEM projects that will be available throughout the year. These are OPTIONAL, however, many students find them very FUN and they also love to share their creations with the class. There are specific items and due dates so please take a CLOSE LOOK at the document. Students who participate will receive extra credit points in science.
Dear Parents,
This year I will be incorporating STEM at home activities into our science classes.
What is STEM? STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. All challenges will have a due date. I am hoping that the students will enjoy these challenges as they develop their creative engineering skills.
Guidelines:
These should be student creations with parent guidance only. Please help your child but do not do the work for them.
Please DO NOT go out and purchase a bunch of items for the STEM challenges - this is supposed to be FUN, CREATIVE, but NOT EXPENSIVE. Use what you have around the house and see how creative you can be!
Please do not send them in early.
On the due dates below, students will share their creation with the class! If you have any questions, please let me know.
