An important part of working in any library is patron confidentiality. This means that even though you have the ability to look at students' records, you will only do so when you are checking in and out books and if you are asked to. You shouldn't look through to see what others have checked out or let others see these records. As a library practice student, you are trusted to take patron confidentiality very seriously.
