Tuscaloosa Reads seeks to foster an atmosphere of literacy engagement throughout our community by supporting initiatives, delivering and exploring high quality text, and connecting families to literacy resources. 

Literacy engagement involves developing a positive attitude towards reading and making  meaningful connections to a variety of texts. It is not just something students should practice at school, but something that can be enriched at home and supported by the community at large.
