1. I don't have a Chromebook. Can I get one?
TCS has worked hard to provide one device per household where a device is needed. Unfortunately, we cannot provide more than one device per home or provide devices to homes where there is a working, family owned device that can be used.
If you feel that you should have received a Chromebook but did not it is possible that it is at the school waiting on you. Email Mr. Summerford or call the school to find out.
2. I need a charger for my Chromebook. Can I get one?
TCS organized dates for charger pickups early in April. You should have been contacted and had an opportunity to get one.
3. My Chromebook is broken or malfunctioning. How do I get it fixed?
Due to concerns about the COVID 19 virus and public health, the Technology Department is limited in what they can do at this time. There is currently no way to collect and repair devices while ensuring the health/safety of families, technology coaches, and technicians. Please use whatever device you have available in your home. If no other device is available let your teachers know that you will need to pick up a paper packet of assignments. Also email Mr. Summerford so that he can add you to the list in case more Chromebooks become available. He will also let you know when there is a plan to collect and repair devices.
4. My Chromebook will not connect to my WiFi at home. Can you fix it?
Probably not. Without knowing how your home network is set up it is difficult to troubleshoot this issue.
Reboot the Chromebook and see if that helps.
Make sure your home network is not hidden.
5. My camera is not working. Can you fix it?
Maybe you can. Shut your Chromebook down and reboot it. If that does not work remove yourself as a user and log back in. If neither of those fix the issue use another device you have at home if one is available. If you do not have another device to use let your teachers know that you will not be able to complete video projects. You can still listen and speak in Google Meet class activities.
6. I left my Chromebook with Mr. Summerford for repair and do not have a loaner.
Everyone eligible for a loaner should have one. If you owe a fine for your Chromebook and do not have another device at home to use, you should already have been contacted about picking up a Chromebook. If not please use whatever device you have at home that is available. If you do not have another device availalbe please contact your teachers to let them know that you will need to

7. I left my Chromebook or Charger at school?
Contact the school to arrange a time to pick it up.
8. YouTube is blocked. What is going on I thought it was supposed to be working?
Some teachers and students are having issues with YouTube. Please completely power off your Chromebook and reboot it. That should fix the issue.
9. I can't log in to my Google Account and/or ClassLink. Can you reset my password?
Sure, email Mr. Summerford.
