Day 5- 8/30/15 Three Capes Scenic Drive
We had an unexpected visitor this morning before breakfast who stopped by to eat some of the blackberries right outside our door.

After another delicious breakfast we took advantage of a photo-op with our host, Dennis Awtrey.
Today we drove the Three Capes Scenic Drive. On the way we stopped at Oceanside to admire the view.
One of our favorite places so far along the coast was at Cape Meares. The views of the steep cliffs and offshore rocks were spectacular!
Oregon's shortest lighthouse stands 38 feet atop Cape Meares and 217 feet above the ocean.
We then drove down to Pacific City to walk on the beach and view the huge sand dune that is so popular with the kids and young at heart.
