Day 8 A Visit to More Southern Coast Beaches

Mahone Bay
Today was a beautiful sunny day for our drive along the southern coast. We started where we left off yesterday and crossed the LaHave River on a 12 car cable ferry.
We wound our way around the many quiet coves with their beautiful homes and ended up at Crescent Beach where we took a long walk and enjoyed the salt air and ocean breeze. Crescent is a wide beach of hard packed sand you can drive on (like Daytona Beach in Florida) with a lovely view.

We drove on farther south to Green Bay which is a unique beach with large boulders, eddies, and secluded sandy spaces.
