The School District of Beloit Turner is dedicated to providing high-quality special education services that support the individual needs of students with disabilities. Our goal is to create inclusive, supportive learning environments where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
We serve students ages 3 to 21 who qualify for special education under guidelines established by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Services are tailored to meet each student's unique needs through an Individualized Education Program (IEP), developed collaboratively by educators, specialists, and families. For more information about eligibility guidelines, please visit the WI DPI Special Education website.
Special education services are provided across all schools in our district and are grounded in a team-based approach. Our special educators work closely with general education staff, related service providers, and families to ensure students receive the support they need in the least restrictive environment possible.
Parents and guardians are vital partners in the IEP process. We value your insights and encourage active participation in planning and decision-making. Consent is required for all evaluations and services, and families receive regular communication and updates regarding their child's progress and supports.
Our team includes not only special education teachers and paraprofessionals, but also a range of professionals such as school psychologists, speech and language pathologists, occupational and physical therapists, and others who provide related services to help students meet their goals.
If you have questions about your child’s development, learning needs, or eligibility for special education services, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our department.
Sincerely,
Kayla McLain
