The Farm Update...
Welcome to 2022... The TUSD Farm is quiet with dormant trees, but starting to get noisy with FFA livestock projects arriving! We are so excited to have student projects back at the Farm. Currently we have 7 steers and plan to add our market goats, sheep, and swine in a couple months... Stay tuned for pictures upon arrival! Our greenhouse is full of succulents and seeds for spring crops at Elementary sites. We look forward to providing lots of spring plants to students!

Winter crops at the Farm are nearing harvest and some have already been sampled! Swiss chard, carrots, radishes and kale have all bountifully grown. Student from various school sites also have winter crops in planter boxes and have been enjoying the vegetables as they become ready to harvest.
School Meals
School Meals
This winter the TUSD Farm is growing broccoli for the TUSD Child Nutrition Department to go into school meals. They are in the process of being planted in row crops. This broccoli project is managed by a Pitman FFA student. We are excited to provide this dark, leafy green to school meals soon in the future!
