Greetings!

Welcome to the Principal's Page!

My name is Renée Cuvelier. I am so pleased to serve as Turkey Valley's PK-12 Principal, Curriculum Director and Special Education Director. I joined the Turkey Valley Family beginning August 1, 2020. It is very exciting to be an integral part of such a fantastic crew of people and dedicated community.

Great students from wonderful families, high academic standards, a well trained staff that is dedicated to serving the best interest of the students, and a supportive, involved community truly makes for a dynamic educational system. Turkey Valley serves Preschool (three and four year olds), and Kindergarten through Twelfth Grade. We maintain an average of 20 : 1 student to teacher ratio in grades Kindergarten through Sixth Grade.

Our community of students are known and identified for their caring nature and acceptance of one another. The students are actively engaged participants during the school day. Turkey Valley provides a multitude of athletic and fine art opportunities as well as service opportunities in the local community and world causes.

Turkey Valley is an accredited institution with state certified teachers who hold valid teaching licenses, specialized endorsements and advanced degrees. Our curriculum is based on the Iowa Department of Education's Common Core Standards. Turkey Valley Community School does provide extended learning activities, STEM activities, current technology, Title 1 reading, ELL services, Special Education services, Literacy resource, band (grades 5 - 12), music instruction, several art classes, and foreign language, just to name a few!
