Faster Tally Reporting. No Complex Keys Required!
Most requests can be answered outside Tally — and across all your companies at once, which TDL cannot do.
You ask for a report Tally doesn't give you directly. Sales by item by month with margin. Outstandings by branch. Consumption against a job.
The answer is a TDL quote — development inside Tally, a few weeks, and a figure. When you want a change, it is another quote. And it runs on one company at a time.
That is the right route for some things. For a report, it usually is not.
A TDL report lives inside one company. Run it for twelve entities and you run it twelve times, then join the results by hand.
There is no view across companies, because Tally has no place to put one.
Extract the data once, across every company, and build the report outside Tally.
The same extract answers the next question too. Change the report without changing anything inside Tally. Add a company and it is another row, not another run.
Nothing is installed in your Tally. Your data stays on your machine.
We are not against TDL — we use it.
It is the correct answer for anything that must live inside Tally: validation as data is entered, on-screen drill-down, printed invoice formats, and writing data back.
For a report you want to read and analyse across entities, it is the expensive route to a narrower answer.
Send us what was quoted and what the report needs to show. We will tell you plainly whether it needs TDL or not — including when it does.
