Teaching is the most wonderful job in the world. I'm so happy to be starting my 39th year at East Olympia. Besides teaching, I spend my days with my 3 children and 5 grandchildren who all live nearby. They are my joy. I love to walk, play my guitar and sing in my church choir. I am so excited to begin this new year in 4th grade with a great team and great kids!
Blessed to be teaching at EOE for 29 years. Mom to a 23 year old East Oly/THS/WSU grad, a 10 year old Doxie named Minnie May, and Jamie, a 16 year old Maine Coon. My loves: being in the outdoors, gardening, home improvement projects, adventures, books, kids, and animals.
Teaching makes me happy because I love kids, and I love learning! This is my sixteenth year in Tumwater, where I’ve enjoyed teaching both elementary and middle school. I have two grown daughters, both of whom have graduated from college, married, and moved out of state. My granddaughters, Ada and Eloise, bring me great joy! A few of my other favorites include long walks and bike rides, kayaking, reading, and art projects.
As part of a military family, I have lived in eight different states all over the country. This is my sixth year of teaching, and I am so glad to call this beautiful area my home.
I have three wonderful teenagers and a golden retriever named Molly. My husband is a trumpet player for the Army band, and we LOVE music.
Teaching is my passion, and I cannot wait for another great year!!
