Click HERE to go to Quizlet. Join our GED Language Arts Class and access the Academic Word List 1.
Start with the Flashcards. As you work with them, write down a list of the vocabulary words and their definitions.
Next, click on Learn to practice choosing the correct word for each definition. Use your handwritten list in the beginning, but eventually want to be able to do this without using your list.
Match is a great way to practice matching the word with the definition. You only have to match in groups of 6.
Gravity is a great game after you've done Learn and Match. Under options, choose Answer with the Term.
When you can score an 80% or higher on the Test without your notes, move on AWL Set 2.
