News Sites for Students

KQED Education is a hub for learning and engagement for students. This site focusses on amplifying the youth voice, making media, civic participation, and richer learning. Click on the 'For Your Students' tab.

This is a news site for all ages. You can click on your grade level or your lexile and access news articles (in English and Spanish) at your level. If you create a login for yourself, you can also add comments.

Newsela is a site for students from 2nd to 12th grade. You can log in with your Google account, and choose the articles, and reading level to learn at your own pace.

This is a news site for kids K-8. You can create your own avatar, and earn points and badges. You can also bookmark & share news, books, and movies. Just choose your grade level.
