Nathan joined “Honors Biology” in his freshman year. In that class, he had dissected and identified the major organs of frogs and rats. Nathan also made a six stage computer aided design model of mitosis for students to easily visualize and understand the process. For the final biome project, he created an ASCII documentary of a Willow Ptarmigan in the tundra.
He has also worked on labs like “Genes in a Bottle”, “Macromolecules”, “Properties of Water” and “Light Compound Microscopes”, where he got thoroughly familiar with laboratory tools. Through Honors Biology, Nathan has exhaustively studied eighteen chapters of the textbook, “Campbell Biology - Concepts & Connections (7th edition)” for the rigorous tests in “Honors Biology”.
Nathan is currently in “Independent Biotech Advanced Research Lab”. He is the current Chief Financial Officer of Bulldog Biotech and manages all finance & marketing aspects of the business. He also works on the production side, his responsibilities include: chunking, autoclaving, synthesizing LB media, plate pouring, etc.
Nathan is a Vietnamese immigrant who moved here in 2012. In his childhood, he wanted to be many things: a soldier, lawyer, mechanical engineer, writer, etc. He enjoys reading web novels as well as amateur writing. He plays Tennis as well as being a computer-aided design specialist & programmer for Foster High School’s First Robotics Challenge team. In the future he hopes to pursue a post-graduate degree in Quantum Computing to work on software for quantum computers. Nathan also enjoys swimming, going out to eat, traveling and exploring interests.
