Ms Neumann

Past Projects

Most of Nicolette Neumann’s past projects have been in the areas of horticulture and restoration ecology. Most notably, she designed and planted a native plant hedgerow at the University of Washington’s student farm for her Masters’ Thesis. During her time at the Renz Lab, Nicolette assisted on a number of biotech projects, including testing a strain of yeast against various concentrations of azole to study resistance.

Current Projects

Currently, Nicolette is carrying out some short experiments with her AP Environmental Science class at Highline High School. They are performing water, soil, and air quality tests, growing plants under different conditions, and later this year will be developing their own special interest research projects to study and present.

Personal

Nicolette spends most of her time outside school with her daughter, Abigail, exploring the Seattle area and seeing the world through the eyes of a toddler. Some of their favorite activities to do together are nature walks, visiting zoos and farms, and playing soccer at the local park. Nicolette is a big fan of the Seattle Kraken and watches as many hockey games as possible.
